Delete your data

Effective 3 November 2026

You can delete your Fowl Atlas (formerly Flightline) account and everything stored with it (the exceptions are listed under "What stays") at any time, whichever way you signed in (Google, Facebook or an email link).

In the app (immediate)

1. Open Fowl Atlas and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Tap the account button at the top right and choose My account.
3. Open the Danger zone section, type DELETE under Delete my account and press Delete.

Optional first step: Download my data on the same page saves a copy of your account profile, spots, hunt log, feedback messages and your agreements to the Terms. Feedback screenshots are listed by file name, not included; email us if you want copies before you delete.

What is deleted

• Your login and profile: email address, name, profile picture link, display name and sign-in records (your sessions, with the IP address and browser information they came from).
• Your synced saved spots and hunt log.
• Feedback you sent, with its screenshots.
• The record of when you agreed to which version of the Terms of Use.

It happens straight away and cannot be undone. In the browser you delete from, the account's spots, log entries, unsynced changes and feedback draft are cleared too, with this browser's note of the Terms version the account agreed to.

What stays

• Usage counts were never stored with your account, so they stay as counts tied only to a random browser identifier.
• Screenshot upload notes (used for the daily upload limit) lose their link to you. Notes more than 2 days old are cleared out the next time anyone uploads a screenshot.
• Our sign-in provider, Supabase, keeps a security log of sign-in events with your email address and IP address. Deleting the account does not remove it; it is kept for the period Supabase sets.
• Spots and log entries you saved while signed out became part of your account when you signed in on that browser, so they are deleted with it. In a browser where you never signed in, they stay on that device until you delete them in the app or clear the site's data.
• In any other browser where your account signed out with changes not yet synced, those changes stay in that browser for up to 90 days. Clear the site's data there to remove them sooner.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account (or the email address of the Google or Facebook account you used) with the subject "Delete my Fowl Atlas account". We will delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days.

If you signed in with Facebook

Deleting your Fowl Atlas account as above removes everything Fowl Atlas received from Facebook, apart from the sign-in security log described above. You can also remove Fowl Atlas from your Facebook account: in Facebook, Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites, then remove Fowl Atlas. That stops Facebook sharing anything new with Fowl Atlas; to delete what is already stored, use the steps above.
